Electric Operation

One press. The aisle opens itself.

Electric compactor shelving replaces the hand wheel with a 24 V motorized drive and a fixed control pad. Staff select a row — the system opens it, locks it for picking, and closes on command. High-traffic archives retrieve faster with less physical effort.

Operating Sequence

From one press to an open aisle.

No touchscreen, no menus, no training course. The fixed pad on the end panel runs the same four-step sequence every single time.

STEP 01Press OPEN

Staff selects the row on the fixed pad. One press starts the 24 V drive — nothing else to set.

STEP 02Carriage travels

The row glides along its floor rails at walking pace — smooth, quiet, under 55 dB.

STEP 03Aisle locks open

The selected aisle opens and holds for picking. The IR curtain guards it the whole time.

STEP 04Press CLOSE

One more press parks the row and returns its floor space. The system is ready for the next press.

Who can press what: a key switch restricts daily staff to single-row opening, while supervisors keep group-open and open-all commands for stocktaking and ventilation.

Powered Capabilities

What only a motorized drive can do.

A hand wheel moves one row at a time, by muscle. The electric drive opens whole zones in seconds, treats fragile collections gently, and links into the building’s safety systems.

Standard on every electric run: 24 V drive with soft-start control · key-switch access levels · fire-alarm linkage ready.

01

Soft start, soft stop

Every move accelerates and brakes gently — no jolt ever reaches the shelves, fragile media stays put, and the drive components last longer.

02

Whole zones move at once

Electronic drives move many carriages together. A department-wide open that takes minutes of cranking takes seconds here.

03

Enter as it opens

Staff step into the aisle the moment it begins to open — no waiting for travel to finish, a real gain when aisles open dozens of times a day.

04

Ventilation & fire park

Pre-set programs hold the run partly open for airflow, and selected aisles open automatically when the building fire alarm triggers.

Ordering Guide

Specify your electric system in four decisions.

Every electric run is configured at ordering. These four choices define the quotation — our proposal defaults to the most common selection for your archive type, and marks everything else as an upgrade.

EMBEDDED SURFACE
Decision 01Rail mounting

Embedded rail leaves a flush, trolley-free floor; surface rail installs fast with no floor cutting. Both carry the same carriages.

220 V feed UPS + optional UPS
Decision 02Power entry

One 220 V wall feed powers the whole run. An optional UPS keeps row selection and sensing alive through power cuts.

ROW 04 OPEN
Decision 03Control access

Standard pad for open use, or a key-switch lock so daily staff can only open one row while supervisors keep group and open-all modes.

Decision 04Protection level

IR curtain, anti-tilt sensing and mushroom e-stop as standard; full-height shelf-level scanning for rooms with mixed traffic.

24 V DCSafe-voltage drive
≤ 55 dBNoise during travel
8–12 sAisle-open time
Class IInsulation protection
