Resources · Technical Proposal

Send six facts, get a proposal back in five days.

A compact shelving proposal is only as good as the room data behind it. Fill the brief opposite — roughly the same information any serious supplier needs — and our engineering desk returns a drawn, priced, stamped specification, not a brochure with a price on it.

The brief · what we need from you
01 · Room
Clear length × width × height
Slab-to-slab, plus door and lift positions on the delivery path.
02 · Storage
What is stored, and how much
Boxes, binders or volumes — and the archive’s annual growth.
03 · Load
Load per shelf
Heaviest item per shelf decides the shelf and bay rating.
04 · Usage
Retrieval frequency & access control
Daily heavy use argues electric or smart drives; who enters the room matters too.
05 · Quantity
Bay count or linear metres
Approximate is fine at brief stage — the layout fixes the exact count.
06 · Destination
Port & timeline
It decides freight, packing scheme and document language.

Field notes

How to measure the room like an engineer.

The six fields decide the system. A few notes on each keep the first drawing close to final — and stop the proposal being revised twice.

01

Room

Measure the clear span, not the wall. Note columns, recesses and anything that eats a bay — the GA drawing places runs around them.

e.g. 18.4 m × 9.2 m × 3.1 m

02

Storage

Count the largest container, not the average one. Ledger volumes, plan chests and boxed files each suggest a different shelf depth.

e.g. archive boxes, A4 binders

03

Load

Weigh a full shelf and add the growth you expect over ten years — the load calculation in the proposal stamps both.

e.g. 78 kg per shelf

04

Usage

How many people retrieve, how often, and who is allowed in. Fingerprint, card or password access changes the terminal spec.

e.g. 6 staff, 40 retrievals/day

05

Quantity

Runs × columns is enough to start. Drive type and finish can be selected from the catalog once the layout is drawn.

e.g. 20 runs × 6 columns

06

Destination

Name the port and your ideal on-site date. We work backwards from it — production, sailing and installation crew.

e.g. Hamburg, Q1 delivery

What comes back

A proposal you can tender, not a leaflet.

Everything below arrives as one stamped PDF set — the same documents the technical registry lists by code.

How to send

Three ways to start, all answered within a day.

Option 01

Send the form

Use the contact form with the six fields above — attach a floor plan if you have one and the drawing lands closer to final first time.

Option 02

Email the engineering desk

Send dimensions and a sketch by email; the same desk answers technical questions during your tender, before you commit.

Option 03

Request a call

Book a walkthrough of your room by video call — we talk through the layout live and follow up with the drawn proposal.

Send the brief today.

The acknowledgement arrives within 24 hours and the full drawn, priced proposal within five working days — no obligation to order.
