Shengmei engineers training the client team at the control terminal during commissioning

Project Support · 03 — Commissioning & Training

We don’t leave until your team can run it.

We don’t send an installation crew — your team builds the room with our manual. What we do is stay online around the clock: engineers on call 24 hours a day, solving whatever comes up from the first rail to the last terminal.

System walkthroughs

Watch the smart system work.

Recorded during commissioning of a smart archive: the terminal set up and proved on site, and the numbered terminal row your team will train on.

Terminal setup with the engineer

Pairing the terminal to its carriage, setting speed limits and safety zones — done with the client watching, not after they leave.

Every run face, numbered and live

LCD terminals line the run face in carriage order — the exact sequence your staff practise during training.

Commissioning

Thirty-two checks before anyone signs.

Electric and smart systems are commissioned against a written checklist. You keep the signed copy with the as-built drawing — it becomes the baseline for every future service call.

CHECK 01–05

Drive & rail limits

End-stop travel set and verified on every run; soft-start and soft-stop speeds tuned so bays never slam.

tolerance ±2 mm

CHECK 06–11

Safety zone test

Infrared curtains and pressure edges triggered with a test bar in every aisle; the run must stop and reverse on contact.

100% of aisles

CHECK 12–17

Terminal pairing

Each LCD terminal address-matched to its carriage; aisle numbers verified against the drawing from every entry point.

per terminal

CHECK 18–23

Locks & permissions

Card access levels tested per department; one-button group close verified against the emergency plan.

role by role

CHECK 24–28

Power & backup

Voltage drop measured under full load; power-off hand-crank operation demonstrated for every electric run.

mains + manual

CHECK 29–32

Noise & finish

Running noise measured at the aisle (target under 60 dB); panels, labels and numbering inspected against the drawing.

≤ 60 dB

Training

Half a day, three modules, no jargon.

Training happens in your room, on your system — not in a classroom with slides. Every session ends with each trainee operating the system unaided while we watch.

45min

Module 1 · Daily operation — for every user

Opening and closing runs, terminal and hand-crank operation, what the indicator lights mean, what to never do. Delivered to the whole records team.

30min

Module 2 · Administration — for the manager

User accounts and card permissions, group open and close, retrieval statistics on the terminal, changing shelf labels as collections move.

30min

Module 3 · First response — for the caretaker

The five issues that cover 95% of service calls: power-off hand-crank, sensor blocked, terminal restart, aisle obstruction reset, and when to call us instead.

What you keep

Documents that outlive the warranty.

Operation & maintenance manual

Chinese and English, covering both the mechanical and smart systems, with exploded parts diagrams and torque tables.

Laminated quick-reference card

One page at the end of the first run: daily open/close, power-off recovery, and the service hotline with your contract number.

As-built drawing & wiring diagram

The drawing marked up on site with final rail positions and power points — the document any future electrician will ask for.

Signed commissioning & acceptance report

All 32 checklist results with measured values, countersigned by your project lead — filed with the warranty.

After the handover

Remote support for the life of the system.

Most questions are answered in one call — no ticket queues, no call centre. You reach the same engineering team that commissioned your room.

After handover

The first 30 days, covered.

Support doesn’t start when something breaks. From the day your team takes over the room, the same engineering team stays reachable — around the clock, for the life of the system.

Day 0

Handover walk-through

The signed 32-point checklist, the as-built drawing and the quick cards are handed over — and the first video walk-through of the finished room happens the same day.

Day 1–7

First-week hotline

Your team’s first week of real use is when the questions come. Engineers stay on call around the clock — most answers take a single video call.

Week 2–4

Settling-in review

A scheduled check-in once the room has been in daily use: usage reviewed, shelf-pitch tweaks confirmed, and a refresher session for new staff.

Ongoing

Lifetime remote support

WhatsApp photos, camera-guided diagnosis, remote terminal read-out with your consent, and spare parts dispatched within 48 hours of confirmation.

Week one

Questions we answer every week.

The four calls that come up most often after handover — and how quickly they are usually closed.

The terminal shows a fault code — what do we do first?

Read the code from the quick-reference card and call the hotline. Nine of the ten most common codes are cleared in one call — the engineer walks your team through the reset on video.

A run feels heavier than usual.

Usually an obstruction or an unlatched end panel. Send a photo on WhatsApp; the same team that commissioned your room answers, and most cases are resolved the same working day.

Can we add shelves or move a run later?

Yes. Shelf pitch is adjustable and runs can be reconfigured — send the new layout and we confirm the parts and sequence, on video if that helps.

Who do we call after the warranty?

The same engineers. Remote support runs for the life of the system — no contract renewal, no ticket queue. Spare parts ship within 48 hours of confirmation.

Handover day is the start of the relationship.

Training and commissioning are included in every electric and smart project — never an extra line item.
